Describe your field of excellence

Skating is AN EASY sport. It requires co-ordination of two parts of the body –leg and hand. Also the mind is required to focus while taking sharp turns, maintaining speed and spacing oneself.

It was accidental. I just joined the class and performed to my best.

Who was the first to recognize your talent in skating?

My coach VIJAY KUMAR under whom I got initial training before shifting to coach SATHIYAMURTHY.

How do you juggle your time between studies and your passion?

I come home by 2:40 and manage to complete my homework before going for my skating class which is scheduled for 5:30.The practice lasts for two hours till 7:45

When I ran 500 mts(2and a half laps) in the JAWAHARLAL NEHRU STADIUM and clinched gold medals in TIME TRIAL AND RINK4 thereby winning the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

How do you prepare yourself before the tournament?

Before the tournament I usually have a road practice in the morning besides regular practice in the evening. So it gets strenuous.

Unlike many students who spend their time watching cartoon and playing, you are thoroughly engaged in SKATING.Do you ever feel you are not enjoying life?

No not at all. In my class we have likeminded individuals of all age groups with whom we interact and over a period of time learning becomes a fun-filled activity. And I truly feel majestic and proud of myself for being different from the crowd.

How do you recover from your failures?

When I lost in the CBSE MEET IN MYSORE I was unable to digest the failure. So I promised to myself that I would win in the state championship. I meant it and I PROVED IT.

What are your other interests?

I have a great fascination for underwater world. I am a voracious reader too and can write well. Also I learn keyboard, music and basket ball. I am also good at athletics in my school and won a couple of medals in skating too.
