AN AFTER SCHOOL HANGOUT FOR COOL DUDES!

Scooldudes.com is a fun-filled after-school hangout for children between 12 and 18 years of age. We are a young and energetic team excited to have an amazing time with kids! By entering this online platform, you can express your creative self, show us your achievements and learn and gain from a new activity that interests you. Say, Star gazing, Scuba Diving, Or Sudoku. How exciting is that? We have a very interesting and dynamic set of indoor and outdoor activities. We also conduct workshops and contests that are driven by student volunteers who help us in conducting polls, spot Hi-fliers, and provide career advice!

About Founder

RAMACHANDRAN KANNAN

An HR expert with 31 years of experience, Kannan is an entrepreneur by heart and instinct (Founder-Promoter of AssessPeople). An alumnus of XLRI (Batch of 1982), Kannan has had his grounding with organisations like Blow Past, Crompton Greaves, Hindustan Lever and the Murugappa Group. Kannan also runs a not-for-profit trust called Anuvikaz (www.anuvikaz.org). The objective is to educate and empower underprivileged sections of society by creating reading rooms, offering employment training/vocational guidance and workshops. Kannans latest venture is www.scooldudes.com (relaunched in 2013). This online platform hopes to be an after-school hangout for kids who can learn and develop their extra-curricular interests. Having authored a book and several articles on HR and career guidance, Kannan plans to work with kids on various aspects of after-school life. His love for the outdoors (treks, scuba diving, cycling and camping) is infectious and participants can expect an adventure.

SANJAY RAO CHAGANTI

For over 20 years, Sanjay worked in international health and marketing across the world. Sanjay is today a coach and trainer on Emotional Intelligence and his mission is to help working smart individuals lead more passionate and fulfillinglives by cultivating emotional balance. Hailing originally from Chennai, Sanjay has spent over a dozen years living in the US and Africa and working across Asia. He has led large teams and also provides guidance as a Board Member and Executive Coach. Over the last few years he has worked across the world including the US, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Myanmar,Pakistan, Cambodia and India. He has inspired and guided many across the globe both at the individual level and through organizational training programs. Participants have enjoyed his keep it simple philosophy, creativity, ability to create participatory and enjoyable group interactions and sense of humour.

ANJALI MUKUND

With a Post Graduate qualification from The Xavier Institute of Management in Jamshedpur, Anjali worked in Indian private enterprise in the field of Human Resources, specialising in recruitment, training and development and manpower planning for about 10 years. On immigrating to Australia about 30 years ago, she worked for the Government, public sector and a large NFP for almost 25 years. Her main role and passion was designing, developing and managing programmes and services to meet employment and community services needs within areas of changing demographics. With a formal qualification in career counselling from Australia, Anjali has worked with numerous and diverse age groups with a family-centred focus. Amongst her major achievements, Anjali counts raising two independent, dynamic, successful, and compassionate daughters who have chosen careers that suit their personalities and dreams.

DR. ARUP VARMA

Dr. Arup Varma, is Indo-U.S. Professor of Management Studies at the Graduate School of Business, Loyola University Chicago (U.S.A.). Dr. Arup Varma is a Professor of Human Resource Management at Loyola University Chicago, having joined Loyola in 1996. Dr. Varma has published numerous scholarly articles and book chapters on key topics in Human Resource Management. He has taught courses in International and Strategic HRM, Staffing, Organisational Theory and Behaviour, Strategic Financial Analysis, Performance Management, Organisational Development & Change, etc. His current research looks at performance appraisal, and expatriate selection and evaluation. He belongs to the XLRI Batch of '84 and is a Ph.D. (Industrial Relations & Human Resources), from Rutgers University, NJ. RAVI SHANKAR

Ravi Shankar has been on the path of Yoga for more than 25 years. He is a student of TKV Desikachar and has spent a number of years working under him and continues to teach in the same tradition. That is, a style of yoga that is breath centric, gentle and therapeutic. He now runs his own yoga school, Yoga Nidhi (www.yoganidhi.org), which works with companies, universities and schools and with individuals requiring therapy. Yoga Nidhi also conducts teacher training programs. He was the Scholar-in-Residence (2008-09), Denison University, Granville, Ohio. He also conducted workshops and lectures for the departments of Wellness, Dance and Religious Studies at the University of Wisconsin - Steven's Point. He was earlier the Lilly Scholar at the Laura C. Harris Symposium, March 2007 at Denison University, Granville, Ohio.

NIMMI JOHN

Nimmi John is a nutritionist with experience in research, teaching, clinical practice and community work. She spent 30 years educating people on sensible eating , till she discovered that the food available to the most sensible eater has alarming amounts of chemical toxins used in agriculture and processing. Nimmi was born and raised in the Nilgiri hills. After years of treading the city path, she finally returned to the home of her childhood to 'give back'. The natural choice was to combine her training in food and nutrition with organic farming skills to make safe food available to more people. She is a trained copy editor and has been involved in the making of 3 books as compiler, scientific editor and illustrator. She enjoys creating treasure from trash. Travel, interior design, art, architectural and furniture restoration are her hobbies. She co-ordinates the Earth Trust projects.

CHITRA RAVI

Chitra Ravi is an educational visionary who has spent the last two decades building a community and developing solutions to bring a fundamental change in the education system. She founded Chrysalis, a state-of-the-art educational research and innovation organization with a vision to awaken the innate human potential in every child. She has led the organization to bring radical changes in the school education system such as eliminating the need for 'textbooks' in classrooms and bringing an inclusive outlook to teacher development. Under her leadership, Chrysalis has been conferred prestigious awards including the ET-NOW 'Game-Changer' award from over 63000 companies which were nominated. Chitra was recently honored as the Social Leader of the Year at the Leadership Summit and Awards 2018, Mumbai. Santhosh Kumar S

Santhosh Kumar S, is a Ph.D. graduate from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and worked as research associate at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. Currently he is working at BEST Research Institute, Bangalore as a R&D Engineer. He believes in, “there is so much to see and do in the world”. He has a strong passion for cycling, trekking, outdoor camping and backpacking. He loves travelling to new places and interacting with local people to understand their tradition and culture. He also likes gardening, cooking and creating awareness among children and the youth on the need to protect the environment for future generations.

Sajita Antony

Sajita is a passionate gardener who spends most of her time in her garden nurturing and growing plants. Apart from gardening she enjoys creating customised art for her near and dear ones. Sajita is married to a cross country marathon winner who also happens to be a defence officer. This loving mother of two currently is a Managing Partner at Elastomer Coatings and holds a Master's in Psychology, Master's in Business Administration from LIBA and a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Sajita was the first recruit at Assesspeople (erstwhile Careesindia - to which she owes her foundation training). Post which she worked as a trainer, life coach and business process consultant at various organisation pan India.
